Coolbarz Lets You Arrange Your Shortcuts on the Desktop Posted: 23 Jan 2012 05:30 AM PST Coolbarz is a portable desktop application that allows users to create shortcuts of their most frequently used apps and arranges them neatly around the desktop. The shortcuts will remain hidden until you move you cursor over to the edge of your screen. Then the shortcuts will pop up on a taskbar from where you can access them easily. Coolbarz is a portable application which requires no installation. All you have to do is download the file from the link below and extract the files and run the application. Coolbarz creates fade away taskbars around the edges of your computer screen which you can see if you move your cursor towards any edge when Coolbarz is running. You can change the color of the taskbars and even configure where you want the taskbars to be placed. Remove taskbars from where you don't want them and place them where you want. Users have complete freedom to choose where they want the taskbars to be placed. To place an item on the taskbar, move your cursor towards any edge and right click on the taskbar and click on Add item. You will see a box like the one shown above. Add the name of the shortcut you want to add and specify the location of the shortcut or target that you want to place on Coolbarz. Then click OK. This location will be placed on the Coolbarz and you can access them easily from your desktop. This application is quite useful if you don't like to clutter your main Windows taskbar.
